Firm Profile
Since our founding in 1977, we have represented employers
in the defense of workers' compensation and related actions. The firm has grown
at a steady pace with the goal of knowing and serving each client on a personal
basis.
We have found that by utilizing seasoned attorneys and
concentrating our practice in the area of workers' compensation, we can better
provide services for our clients in an efficient and cost effective manner. The
firm presently enjoys an "A.V." rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law
Directory and has recently been recognized in the Martindale-Hubbell Register
of Preeminent Lawyers in the Labor and Employment Law section.
Our firm provides representation in every aspect of
workers' compensation law, including subrogation and insurance coverage
matters.
We are proud of the fact that our firm
played a major role in the creation of the National Workers’ Compensation
Defense Network and that we remain the only Michigan firm endorsed by NWCDN.
Our extensive experience and fine reputation in the field of
workers' compensation along with our knowledge of employment law matters makes
us unique among workers' compensation firms. Our working relationship with a
prominent labor and employment law firm, Nemeth Burwell P. C.,
allows us to defend the employer in the defense of workers' compensation cases
and work closely with co-counsel in the defense of employment law actions.
Charfoos, Reiter, Peterson, Jones, Dorland & Hébert
represents insurance carriers, self-insured employers and self-insured
associations throughout Michigan. Our clientele ranges from the smallest of
companies up to and including Fortune 500 companies.
Billing Practices
We are proud of our reputation of offering top quality
legal services for a fair and reasonable fee. We are keenly aware of the
economic and emotional burden which litigation places on a client and its
employees. We seek to work with the client to make sure that its best interests
and long-range purposes are considered. The attention we pay to our billing
practices allows our clients to pay attention to the legal matter rather than
the legal bill. We continually strive to provide the best defense at the lowest
possible rate.
Seminars
Our firm is proud of our reputation for frequent and
innovative seminars ranging from small in-house seminars for clients to
seminars conducted out of state for out of state clients regarding Michigan
workers' compensation law. We participate in all NWCDN multi state seminars and
take part in national seminars on Workers’ Compensation issues sponsored by the
American Bar Association.
